Play It Central officially opened its doors to the public on Monday 28th September at 10am with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony later in the day at 2pm.
The Club welcomed new and current CSC Group members through into its spacious foyer where they were greeted by warm faces of Central staff members.
“Kelvin Patch, our CEO, gave a warm speech before Chairman Dave McGuinness did the honours of cutting the opening ribbon,” commented Ben Connors, SCC Venue & Culture Manager.
“We had various patrons come in to visit their new club and the response was fantastic!
“Our Central Team didn’t waste any time getting into the swing of things, by kicking off the first day with lunch & dinners service, raffles & a gaming promotion.
Patrons were treated to a slice of cake to mark the celebration and welcome in a new era for sporting clubs in the Moreton Bay region.
The lick of new paint, furniture and modern carpets provided a refreshing and modern atmosphere at Play It Central.
In a little under two weeks, since the longstanding Caboolture RSL closed its doors, Central underwent a dramatic facelift.
Majority of the Caboolture RSL staff were reemployed by the CSC Group.
“It is wonderful to have some new faces as part of the CSC Group family and they have been so excited to start this new venture with us.
“We’ve been busy behind the scenes ensuring our policies and procedures, recruitment process & staff training programs are brought in line with the Group’s standards. This will ensure the same level of customer service & product quality our members have come to expect from a CSC Group venue is delivered,” added Ben Connors.
Play It Central, compared to CSC Group’s larger sports club, Caboolture Sports Club, provides a more intimate experience and will have a large focus on the viewing of live sports.
The new Club will be the home of sports for locals. There are over 10 large TVs throughout the Sports Lounge dedicated to live sports & TAB.
The Club will also be a dedicated UFC venue, showing all major fights live & loud on the big screen & TVs around the Sports Lounge.
“We are excited to be open just in time for a huge month of sport this October. We are kicking off with the Bledisloe Cup on the 11th & 18th of October, followed closely by the AFL & NRL Grand Final, and UFC 254.
“We are dedicated to providing a relaxed intimate environment, where you can enjoy a burger & beer and watch all your favourite live sports including cricket, A-League, AFL, NRL, the V8’s and American league sports such as the NBA & NFL.
Locals are invited to become a member of the CSC Group which includes access to Play It Central along with its three other licensed venues in the Region.
Although there is a large focus on live sports at Central, the Club will also be offering a variety of entertainment.
“Similar to the other clubs under the CSC Group belt, Central will be offering a large variety of entertainment across 7 days, including Bingo, trivia, members nights, meal deals, raffles, live music & more. There is something for everyone”.
For just $5.50 a year or $3.30 for seniors, members receive exclusive discounts, rewards & access to four great community clubs. Membership applications can be made via the Play It Central website or in Club.
